This is a typically gorgeous Japanese art book with high production values and full colour throughout. The subject is Yoshitaka Amano's original artwork for the Final Fantasy games. There is a very small amount of japanese text but the vast bulk of the book is filled with artwork from the series, much of which is likely to be new even to die-hard fans of the series. As a small bonus there are two fold-out pages allowing four large-format pictures to be displayed. My copy also included an insert advertising Mr. Amano's art prints.

Most of the pages feature a double page spread which is hard to reproduce here so the above illustration is one of the occasional single-page pieces. The only slight let-downs with this work is that they didn't print all of the paintings that feature gold with a separate gold ink (although the first three pictures are treated this way) and that the format is a little small. These are very minor points and they detract little from my overall impression of this gorgeous little book.
