This is a softback book printed on light but glossy paper. The book is full colour throughout, featuring only a very minimal amount of explanatory text. This features incredible artwork by the whole stable of TSR's regular artists including Brom, Jeff Easley, Larry Elmore and many more. Unfortunately the amazing art is let down by a couple of production decisions. The first is to feature multiple works per page, rendering detail hard to see. The second is not to print pages full-bleed and to leave nearly a centimeter all round each page of white space.

The above is an example of how the poor layout results in two really nice pictures being crammed in and their detail lost. In terms of the amount of artwork for your pound, I guess this is still a bargain but it could easily have been so much better. Apologies for the poor quality cover photo, my copy was second hand and rather battered.
